Jazz band is canceled this week due to conferences

The HCMS Holiday Food Drive has begun! Every year we are able to help multiple Harper Creek families enjoy a wonderful holiday meal, but we need your help.  Starting right now through next week, we are collecting non-perishable food items.  Here are suggested items for each grade level:

5th grade: Breakfast items like cereal, oatmeal, and pancake mix.

6th grade: Canned veggies and soups like green beans, corn, and cream of mushroom soup.

7th grade: Boxed pastas and sauces like macaroni and cheese, noodles, and spaghetti sauce.

8th grade: Desserts and canned fruit like cake mixes, brownie mixes, and canned peaches or other fruit.

Staff:  Boxed mashed potatoes, stuffing, and gravy or gravy mixes.

Please bring your donations to the cafeteria during your lunch time (also, please check expiration dates before donating).  We will see which grade level can bring in the most!

Are you interested in showing off your volleyball skills? Perhaps you can eat a cupcake faster than anyone else? Are you an expert at Tug of war? If so, WE NEED YOU!

Sign up during your lunch to participate in the Fall half-day assembly on Wednesday, Novemeber 21st. We will be taking 24 students from each grade to participate in a staff vs. student volleyball match and half time games.  Whoever wins earns bragging rights!!

Which teachers do you want to see duke it out in an arm wrestling match? Write down two teacher's names at lunch and drop them in the proper bucket. The teachers with the most votes will arm wrestle at the fall assembly on November 21st!

NO TOP Club today or next week.

The 7th Grade A team played Western last night and lost a game against a very good opponent 51 to 35. The 7th grade basketball team lost last night to Jackson Parma western by the score of 41-31. Our next game will be Friday against Coldwater.

Last night, both 8th grade teams defeated Parma Western.  Both teams played excellent defense and had enough offense to come away with another victory.  Both teams have now won three games in a row!  Next up is Coldwater on Friday.

What type of key is the most important at Thanksgiving?
