Daily Announcements

Today is a A day

November 13, 2019

The Coin War has begun!  Bring in your change to your science class and put it in your favorite teams jar! Are you for MSU or UofM?

Attention all 6/7/8th graders interested in swimming. There will be a meeting tomorrow right after announcements.

Our 7th Grade B Team won 41 to 17 against Coldwater last night.  All players contributed and put forth a great effort in the victory.  The 7th Grade A Team lost 51 to 60, in what was a back and forth game where our Beavers had several runs to keep them in the game.  Coldwater shot incredibly well from the free throw line to close the tight game.  Both teams play Pennfield Thursday for their first home game, please come out and support us. In 8th grade the B team won with an outstanding team effort, while A team is still in the hunt for their first win of the season. Keep up the good work team!

HCMS Student Council’s Canned Food Drive begins this Monday, November 11th! The food drive will run for two weeks, it ends Friday, November 22nd. Every year we have suggested items for each grade level to bring in to help us create well-rounded Thanksgiving meals for multiple Harper Creek families.

5th grade – you are in charge of green bean casserole!

6th grade – you are in charge of pastas!

7th grade – you are in charge of mashed potatoes and stuffing!

8th grade – you are in charge of desserts and breakfast items!

We will display all the donations in the front entrance to the middle school, and we will be looking to see which grade level can bring in the most items! Will your grade level win? Will the staff win? Stay tuned…

Terrific Tuesday Trivia:  How many pumpkin pies are eaten in the US on Thanksgiving?  (round to the Millions) 50 Million!

Wacky Wednesday Riddle: What do the Pilgrims, Indians and Puritans have in common?

Today is National Kindness Day!  Make an effort to go out of your way to do something nice for someone today!

Today is also National Paraprofessional Day!  We LOVE our para pros and couldn’t do this without them!
