Halloween is coming, and we are going to have some fun!  Next week on Tuesday and Friday you can wear your costume to school! Costumes must be school appropriate, no weapons or props, no fake blood, and no masks other than your regularly worn Covid-prevention mask. This is not a fundraiser this year, just fun. We look forward to seeing your creative costumes!

We still have pictures of virtual students in the office waiting for pick up. Also, if your sixth grader is in STEAM virtually, there is a packet for them as well. We also have sewing kits for virtual Life skills and Life Management students.  Just stop in and pick it up!

What's Happening

Dear HCMS Student,

I hope you have had a good start to your school year. The staff and I are so happy to be working with you again. I am writing to remind you that learning does not stop when you are not in the building.  School day times, 7:40 am to 2:40 pm, and you should still be dedicated to learning when you are not present at school. This is especially true this year, as you are spending part or all of your time learning virtually.   I wanted to send this email so that you have a clear understanding of the expectations for learning this year.

Please allow time for a response/feedback from the teacher during the scheduled work day as well, hybrid teachers are with in-person students on Monday, Tuesday, Thursday and Friday. Virtual teachers are teaching multiple subject and/or grade levels and teach several virtual classes.

Teaching and learning has never been more challenging than during this time.  We appreciate the efforts you are making, and will continuously assess our teaching to improve and support you.
